Schizophrenia: A brain disorder in which people interpret reality abnormally.
When I saw the body collapse in front of me, I instantly dropped the gun and sank to
my knees. I stayed there petrified for what seemed like hours. I knew it wasn’t my fault,
but what would the authorities say? All the evidence was right there. The gun had my
fingerprints on it. I had no reason to kill Nina though right? But even I knew that was a
lie. I didn’t want to kill Nina; she was my sister. Molly forced me to do it. It was Molly’s
fault. Molly was the one who gave me the gun. She was the one who pulled the trigger.
It was Molly’s fault, right? But where is Molly now? “Molly?” I cried out. “Where are you
Molly??” But she was nowhere to be found. I’m lost without Molly.
“Hello Jayden,” Dr Bennett began to speak. But I didn’t answer. “How are you doing
today?” I just continued to stare at him. Dr. Bennett was an old man, maybe in his 60’s
or 70’s. He always wore a plaid coat under his white coat. He smelled like tuna and had
a sinister smile like Cheshire cat. I didn’t like him. Molly didn’t either.
“Don’t answer him, he’ll just tell your sister you’re crazy again,” Molly whispered in my
ear.
“But I’m not crazy,” I replied.
“Jayden,” Dr. Bennett said with a confused face, “who are you talking to?”
“Don’t answer him,” Molly said again.
“I’m talking to Molly,” I pointed at Molly and this made Dr. Bennett seem even more
confused than he was before.
“There’s no one there Jayden.”
