LDS Final essay

Professor Stephen A. Shultz

The decision making plan

Cognitive dissonance means there are two different contradictory thinking at the same time. Professor takes an example. The government wants people who live in dangerous places that always take place in earthquake flood and so on buy insurances; however, people don’t want to buy dangerous insurance, because they think that these dangerous might not happened in them. So that is a cognitive dissonance.

Unconscious plays an importance role in making decision. Unconscious maybe includes oblivious memory and feel, dream or fantasy. Something can influence on you now, because you maybe had a special experience when you were a child. Collective unconscious is that human does not forget something, but people don’t realize something.

Communication is mean people need to talk to each other, when they want to decides some important things. I can remember professor take an example that is the gift of the Maji for communication. The story said there was a couple. They wanted to buy a Christmas gift to each other. The man had a valuable golden watch. The woman had a beautiful hair. The man sold his watch and bought a hairpin. The woman cut her beautiful hair and sold it to buy a watch chain. Although they have kind heart and love each other, they lost their valuable thing. I believe it will be a happy ending, if they talk to each other before they buy gifts.

In real life, I also have many instances for these three parts. About Cognitive dissonance, for example, when I was a child, my mom bought a carrot that can increase vitamin A. She asked for me to eat it. I tasted a few, but I didn’t like it. I can’t remember the feel of detail. But I never eat carrots until now.

From Unconscious, for example, when I was a child, my mom bought a carrot that can increase vitamin A. She asked for me to eat it. I tasted a few, but I didn’t like it....
