INTRODUCTION
This portfolio will be discussing on different aspects international communication. The first question will go indepth discussing information society. The focus will then shift to look at Frank Webster's discussions on information society. This will then be followed by three discussions paragraphs where the role of social networks in facilitating international communication and global activism are detailed. The last question will entail a research artilce on the concept of media imperialism in relation to that will be looking at the positive and negative effects of media imperialism in South Africa, this is also where there will be a critical discussions of challenges and opportunities that international marketers face in marketing their products in developing regions of the world, such as sub-Saharan African countries.
