Alternative Energy Sources Discussion

This paper is an overview of alternative energy sources and how they provide relative and necessary benefits to humanity and the ecosystem. Alternative energy sources help to reduce the amount of toxins that are by-products of energy use. Alternative energy use can help preserve the delicate ecological balance of the planet, and help us conserve the non-renewable energy sources like fossil fuels.

What are Alternative Energy Sources

A. Solar Energy Power

B. Wind Power

C. Geothermal Energy Power

D. Hydroelectric Power

Why is Alternative Energy Sources Important

Alternative energy sources help to reduce the amount of toxins that are by-products of energy use. Alternative energy sources help to protect against harmful by-products, but using alternative energy helps to preserve many of the natural resources. Alternative energy use can help preserve the delicate ecological balance of the planet, and help us conserve the non-renewable energy sources like fossil fuels.

Why is Alternative Energy Sources Relevant

Renewable energy sources, such as wind, direct solar power, hydroelectric power, and the bio fuels derived from them may be the basis for future civilization. The primary source of energy that generates each of these forms of energy is the sun. The wind is driven by the heating of the Earth's surface. Solar energy is harvested directly from the sun light through window panels and is disbursed through photosynthesis. Hydroelectric power evaporates water from the surface of the Earth.

What types of Technology is needed to Harness Energy Sources

A. The technology used to harness solar power is performed by 3 different methods solar cells, which convert light directly into electricity. Solar water heating, is where heat from the Sun is used to heat water in glass panels on your roof. Solar Furnaces use a huge array of mirrors to concentrate the Sun's energy into a small space and produce very high...
