I have known Dr. Jose Rizal ever since I was young. I had known him as our National Hero. Ever since on my elementary years, high school and even until now on my college years, I have been learning the Life of Rizal. The period where Filipinos are most united, most spirited & involved to fight for their freedom is during the time of the Revolution of the Philippines. Even though we had learn a lot from our previous topics about the short but meaningful life of Rizal, I know most of us are still unfamiliar about his involvement in the Philippine Revolution. Well first of all, his writings played a big role in the Philippine Revolution. We can’t deny that our National Hero played a big part in our country’s struggle for Independence and Reforms. The Filipinos woke up because of his writings and they made his writings as their inspiration to take action against the Spaniard. Especially the “Noli me Tangere” and “El Filibusterismo” where he wrote his desire to stop the Spanish from their abusing acts to the Filipinos, to have independence and for peace to be spread. These two novels had become his weapon to wake up his fellow countrymen to fight for their right and achieve their independence against the Spaniards who has the governing power. It also showed his aspiration of peace for those Filipinos. Although because of his writings, the government of Spain accused Jose Rizal as the leader of the Revolution. Not only that,but even his brother named Paciano was being tormented to admit that Rizal was involved in the revolution. The language that he used in his novels are all very strong and inspiring. If I was born during on that century, I would also be inspired. In fact, I would also idolize Jose Rizal for his works. He had done a major part in Philippine Revolution, that’s all I had to say.

After my History teacher showed to us the movie about the Life of Rizal, I have seen how strong of a person Dr. Jose Rizal was. Where he still smiles inspite of all he had...
