Summary

Electric vehicles are becoming more popular and affordable every day. Because of the concerns about global warming and the reduction and the rising cost of petroleum products, the majority of the population are now getting the concept of electric cars and how it can save a lot of money on gasoline as well as contribute to the overall environment. Electric cars are also cleaner when they run. It is a 100% emission free car because they do not burn gasoline or any other type of petroleum to run the car. With the vast increase of the purchase of electric vehicles, it would only be right if more universities and commercial buildings had specific electric pumps to feed energy into your car. Students who drive the electric vehicles need places to plug in their cars. Besides always having to plug in their car at their house, it would benefit the students and faculty of SUNY Farmingdale if there were small and convenient solar carports on campus for them to do so. Not only will solar carports on campus cause an attraction, it will also provide stability for the campus in generating electricity from the sun to use throughout the campus.
