Threats to data

Personal information is very important as it contains information such as card details, name, date of birth and address and the misuse of the information can be very dangerous if someone else can access them because then they are able to steal your belongings.

Physical

Physical threat comprises of damaging the electronic device physically (breaking the product) this can be very dangerous if correct measures are not taken to prevent this because in this case even passwords, anti-virus applications and firewall are useless as they are only useful on damages within the computer but when the device is damaged and cannot be accessed all the information inside it is lost which is very worrying for the customers of the business as the information is very significant to them and should not be lost so easily.

Unauthorised access of passwords

Unauthorised access of passwords can be very dangerous as if someone can access your computer without you knowing about it they are able to access all your information saved on your computer and steal from it such as your social networking passwords which might contain pictures of your family members, your credit card details which can be used to buy things online also it can be used to see your income and bank balance and also impose a virus on your computer so you are no able to use it again. This can be very harmful to business as if they lose their customers details or are easily accessible as they are not following the data protection act.

Viruses

There are various types of viruses that can cause different damages from spreading itself to other devices to just cause annoyance these viruses are written by malicious people who want to cause trouble.
