The Cultural Influences

Growing up the youngest of three, there were cultural influences all around that I did not believe affected me. Seeing into the past puts things into perspective on how being the youngest of a family can really change the thoughts and ideas. Many influences shaped the way I identify myself.
Being the youngest meant the constant struggle with siblings. With a much older brother and sister, picking on me and getting me flustered was an easy thing to do. The constant struggle of always having to fight back shaped the competitiveness that I have grown up with. Even with this, I looked up to both siblings, but my brother even more so since I could relate to him much easier. If we ever did anything together, my brother and I, we would go fishing in small ponds. He opened me up to the outdoors to me and introduced the country-side of life. Going hunting and learning about how nature works always intrigued me. Being able to sit down and stare into the woods was a big influence.
Being a child, talking was a natural thing to do. But as time went on, both of my parents began splitting ways. Their negative attitudes tended to bring mine down. This led to a change in my communication skills. The negative attitudes forced me to become someone who speaks much less and thinks much more. The kids I hung out with for the most part were a different skin color than me. I was one of the only Caucasians that went to the schools I attended through grade school. The influences that school put on me are in the way I talk. Since most kids were from a different cultural background they changed my perception on how everyone is the same under the skin.
During this time, my mother would always be there. Being a person based on family values over money, she molded different views into me, and convinced me money is not the only thing that could make a person happy. She made it easy for me to understand the concepts...
