1.0 Introduction
POS System (Point of sale) is a system that can directly read merchandise sales information (such as a trade name, unit price, sales volume, sales time and sales shop, buy customers, etc.) when goods are sold through the automatic reading device (such as a cash register) and transmits these information to the relevant authorities for analysis and process via the communication network and computer systems in order to improve operational efficiency. POS system was first used in the retail industry and then gradually extended to others such as finance, hotels and other service industries, the range of POS system’s application also extended from the internal to the entire supply chain.
Computerized Accounting Systems refers to base on computer and apply modern electronic technology and information technology to the accounting practices. Specifically, it uses computer instead of manual accounting to complete the analysis and judgment of accounting information. Currently, computerized accounting system has become an interdisciplinary subject fusing together with computer science, management science, information science and accounting science. The main task is to study how to use computer in accounting practices in order to improve the accounting and management level.
