a) Protein: are large, complex molecules that play many critical roles in the body. They do most of the work in cells and are required for the structure, function, and regulation of the body’s tissues and organs they are used as precursors to nucleic acid, co-enzymes, hormones, immune response, cellular repair, and other molecules essential for life. Examples: Keratin, Myosin, Nebulin, Pikachurin

Major dietary sources: Soya beans, Cheese, Venison, Pumpkin seeds, Lobster

b) Carbohydrates: are any of a large group of organic compounds occurring in foods and living tissues and including sugars, starch, and cellulose. The roles of carbohydrate in the body includes providing energy for working muscles, providing fuel for the central nervous system, enabling fat metabolism, and preventing protein from being used as energy.

Major dietary sources: Whole-grain products such as brown rice, whole-grain pasta, beans, whole wheat bread, whole oats, buckwheat, millet, whole rye, whole-grain barley and whole-grain corn

Examples: Fruits, Vegetables, Milk, Nuts, Grains, Seeds, Legumes

c) Fats: are natural oily or greasy substances occurring in animal bodies, especially when deposited as a layer under the skin or around certain organs.

Fat from food is broken down into fatty acids, which can travel in the blood and be captured by hungry cells. Fatty acids that aren't needed right away are packaged in bundles called triglycerides and stored in fat cells, which have unlimited capacity.

2- The nervous system, particularly the brain, requires glucose for energy. Too little glucose results in weakness and dizziness. Glucose is also necessary for other parts of the nervous system. Glucose is needed in the bloodstream, as energy, when the body faces a flight or fight situation.
