Reader Response 1
In the reading “
Recalling an Experience”
it’s talking about remembering certain events
that you still have in mind and how that memory can create a good piece of writing. I didn’t find
this reading that much boring because it answer my own question about how are we able to write
about certain topics even if the topic doesn’t have anything to do with us. In the reading “
The
Art of Eating Spaghetti “
I find it to be an interesting story it can be boring in the beginning but
at the end I did like it. I finded the story to be interesting because it tells how you can write you
own style in the paper without having to write exactly the style the teacher is giving you. For
example, on the reading Mr. Baker who is the student turn in the paper he had wrote for his own
pleasure because he didn’t get to write a paper with the structure that Mr. Fleagle who is the
teacher asked for but the boy didn’t receive a failing grade instead Mr. Fleagle showed his essay
to another class in which he tells the essay is good. This makes me feel that sometimes is okay to
write your own style on the paper as long as it maintains structure of the essay. It also made me
think that I can apply my own voice on my essays. The reading was boring at the beginning
because the author just talk about how writing was his only interest and how boring his english
classes were until he got Mr. Fleagle.
