I. Introduction

The word Netopia comes from the word Network (the interconnected system of computers) and Utopia (a place of ideal perfection). This sums up the idea of a computer networking haven. Started in 1997, Netopia Internet Café was founded by two computer techie. It’s first branch, situated in Katipunan area, began as a private gaming room for customers. Then, it attracts the customers all the way to the present multiple branches of Netopia. It is largest chain of shared access (Internet and computer access) provider in the Philippines with over 69 branches and more than 2,600 workstations nationwide. It is the company’s strategy to focus on its primary business, which is providing access to the greater number of Filipinos that cannot afford their own personal access or those who choose a more efficient alternative.

Vision

To be the preferred Internet Café for information, education and training, entertainment and e-commerce, full at all times, providing delightful Netopia experience anytime and anywhere.

Mission

To provide one-stop Information Communication Technology services accessible to the public; to deliver reliable and consistently satisfying customer experience everywhere; and to give full and sustainable value to its stakeholders; thereby, making Netopia the leading Internet café chain in the Philippines.

The Netopia Internet Café Sta Lucia branch was the target case study location of our group. It is located on 3rd Floor of Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall, Marcos H-way cor. Felix Ave. Cainta, Rizal (see the location map). It offers a wide variety of gaming and networking apps, social media networking sites, as well as high quality digital printing and E-Load services for mobile devices.
