There are many concerns regarding ethical matters in a workplace. Ethics briefly refer to what is right and what is wrong. Workers often change the culture of their workplace either by doing good deeds or bad deeds. Employees should work in a business with integrity and equality. Mostly the developing countries face ethical problems. It involves physically hurting the workers, stealing materials from the workplace, and lying to the higher management officials etc. An ethical issue like corruption is significantly increasing mainly in governmental bodies. Some of the other highly unethical behaviors conducted in a workplace usually in western countries are like sexual discrimination, gender and race discrimination etc. Do these practices support in leading an organization or a workplace? Though at some point it may be highly beneficial to oneself, but one should always be ethical and follow the organization’s code of conducts. To support this, I will give evidences and opinions which will prove whether is it eligible to be ethical or unethical in an organization for achieving a desired goal, showing from various sources of articles and websites for my research. I will write an argumentative research paper, to argue that unethical behavior in a workplace does not lead an organization. My thesis statement is “unethical behavior breaks the code of conduct of an organization thus violating it rules, and measures like creating awareness on ethical matters to workers should be done in order to stop or minimize workplace issues.”
