A Good Man is Hard to Find

The story I will be writing on is “A Good man is Hard to Find.” This is one of my favorite stories that we have read so far this semester and would really like to give my all-star cast and how I would go about making this short story into a film. I will first start with the cast then move to some of the changes I would like to make. After that will be the director, which will be very important such as the way the story is structured. The last few details is how I envision some scenes, how I would overcome an obstacle, and last what I hope to accomplish in this.

I am going to start with the Misfit and his crew. For the main leader in the Misfit, I would use Leonardo Dicaprio. The movie I would use Leo from is his latest movie Wolf on Wall Street. He is a criminal in that movie and as the right attitude to play this part for a misfit also leading two other criminals. The next character I will pick is Bobby Lee. The story says that he is a bigger guy, so I will pick for this role is Chris Farley because he played many different characters and fits the character description well especially with his personality. Robert De Niro will play the last criminal, Hiram, this part fits him well because he is kind of older and just looks the part for a criminal and maybe think he is smarter or better than the misfit. Next the Grandmother will be played by Doris Roberts, since she would play the perfect part for that with her age and knowledge of acting. I really feel that her part in Everybody Loves Raymond. Bailey the father of the Family will be played by Darren McGavin back when he played in A Christmas Story. He plays the family dad in that with a wife and two kids his role in that would be perfect for this short film with his attitude and just overall father feel and the way things happen how he plays them out.
