Case study one is an example of schizoid personality disorder. The causes of Josephine’s disorder were more then likely derived from the relationship that she had with her family growing up as well as the people that were around her. These relationships probably consisted of behaviors that she did not agree with or often got her into trouble for action certain ways or for doing nothing at all. People with her disorder rarely seek help but no treatment is sure to work, therapy my help but this type of disorder makes interaction with others difficult.

Case study two is an example of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Like is known about the causes of this disorder, but Luis’s disorder probably started as a child growing up in a house that did not have as much as other around him, thus making a mind set to have nice things and show them off because nice things have meaning and status. Psychotherapy may help Luis relate to others in a more positive and compassionate manner.

Case study three is an example of Dependent Personality Disorder. The cause of Anissa’s disorder spawned from the fact that she was the only survivor of a car accident in which she was driving. There is no sure treatment but psychotherapy could help her become more independent and self trusting of her choices, while medication could help with any other underlining conditions.

Case study four is an example of Dissociative Disorders. The development of the disorder in Karen was onset but the death of her son in order to cope with the trauma. Psychotherapy is main method of treatment in dissociative disorder patients and help patients gain better understanding of what is going on as well as more effective ways of coping with their stress or anxiety.
