Identifying leadership styles is important. It can help you overcome some of your leadership weaknesses and idetify your strengths which can help you improve focus on whats important and not convinien. Having a country club leadership style leads to really good interpersonal relationships with the people below you. However, it may cause problems when you prioratize an individuals prefences to what and how a specific task needs to be completed. Following the process and procedure needs to be of upmost importance weather or not individuals agree with the rules and standards in place.

One of my greatest strengths and also weaknesses is that I cared too much for the contractor employees working on projects that were assigned to me. Sometimes they prefered dowing work based on past experiences, which seamed better, but didn’t follow the way my company specifically wanted it done. I had to investigate for my self what was the most appropireate way of completing the work taking into account the contractors prefrence and the way the procedure instructed. Thus, inderctly causing lots of changes to existing procedures, which took lots of time. It was a huge hassel. I cared too much about the contractors opinion which even though most of the time they were right, figuring if they were or not delayed the project which they were trying to complete and thus rendered crew to be labeled inafective at times.
