2015 International Radon Symposium Saving Lives One Change at a Time
1888 PressRelease The 2015 International Radon Symposium took place September 2023. SWAT
Environmental along with the international radon community joined forces to promote future growth and
awareness in the field of radon mitigation.
"Be the Radon Change You Want to See" was the theme for the 2015 American Association of Radon
Scientists and Technologies symposium (AARST). Radon experts, state officials, and members of the
academic community gathered from around the globe to discuss the standards and the future growth of
radon mitigation. With the growing awareness of the dangers of radon, it is important to keep up to date
with new radon discoveries and experiences from around the world.
Radon gas can be claimed as the #1 lung cancer cause in nonsmokers. You can't see or smell radon gas,
causing it to be a silent killer. AARST is dedicated to growing the community of radon experts to help
spread awareness and combat the rise of deaths caused by radon poisoning. The AARST members include
some of the most knowledgeable experts and industry leaders from around the world.
