Dear Ryerson,

I was pleased to discover the opportunity to obtain an internship at Ryerson. I am a junior at Purdue University majoring in Management and Marketing as well as working toward a Certificate of Entrepreneurship. Currently, I am seeking an internship for the summer of 2015. I believe Ryerson is a great fit for me because I thrive in a fast pace environment where I am able to see my direct work come to life and inspire others. I know I have a tremendous amount of knowledge and background to contribute to this company and I would take great pride in this position if given the opportunity.

I believe I can succeed in this area because I have experience in several different areas. I am ultimately interested in working for Ryerson because I value your business strategy. I can apply my experience in leadership, communication, and management skills that I have gained from past internships and classes to help Ryerson further enhance this strategy.

The position I am applying for is the Human Resources Internship located in Chicago. Although I am not a Human Resources major, I have experience with managing people as well as recruiting. This experience stems from the position I held in my sorority of Vice President of Membership Recruitment. I managed a group of 100 women for a span of four weeks. In that time, I communicated specific instructions to these women to make sure the ending goals were met. During this time I also streamlined the recruitment process to make it more enjoyable for the recruiters and the women we were recruitment. As a result, I increased my sorority by thirty-seven new women. I believe this experience will help build my career with Ryerson in the Human Resources Internship.

I’d like to thank you for your time. If you have any questions, please contact me at (847) 845-8704, or e-mail me at macystephani@gmail.com. Thank you for taking the time to review my documents.
