Family farming is generally understood to be land owned and or operated by a family; it is some items considered to be passed down by inheritance. Family farms can be of any size; official definition of a family farm is limited to small farms worked primarily by members of a single family, making family farming predominant in global agriculture. Family farming is what America was built upon, the truth is this is how civilization was built on.
Family farming is what the Native Americans, showed the first European settlers, on the day we celebrate as Thanksgiving. This type of farming is the oldest form of managing crops, it is typically viewed as its own culture and is beneficial to the preservation of America.
Family farms are valued by communities as a clean quality of life. Family farming is the way people in our history produced food to survive. Increased family unity, good morals and less crime, these farms provided job opportunities. To this date local market is greatly relied upon as food sources, for individual people or entire community. Then someone somewhere seen that if got control of the agriculture business they could control the people thought what is needed to live.
In family farming there is a lot of manual and livestock labor. Couples would have as many children they could so, that they could work in the fields when they got old enough. A single family farm would have one to two oxen or cows to us to plow the fields. The family would count on Mother Nature to water the plants or haul from the closest river.
