Historically, katana (刀?) were one of the traditionally made Japanese swords (日本刀 nihontō?)[2][3] that were worn by the samurai class of feudal Japan, also commonly referred to as a "samurai sword".[4] Modern versions of the katana are sometimes made using non-traditional materials and methods.[5]

The katana is characterized by its distinctive appearance: a curved, slender, single-edged blade with a circular or squared guard and long grip to accommodate two hands. It has historically been associated with the samurai of feudal Japan and has become renowned for its sharpness and strength.

THE MURDERER OF THE KATANA

In April 2000, in Santiago el Mayor (Murcia) a 16 years old called Jose Rabadán, left his room with a Katana in hand (Japanese sword), went to his parents' bedroom, a certain slash which reaped his mother's neck.

His father woke up and tried to defend himself judging by the cuts in his hands, but all in vain, because Jose broke his head with the Katana.

His younger sister with Down syndrome couldn`t escape the massacre, and the cold steel of the sword ended her short life.

Until then Jose Rabadán had been a normal boy, he usually played rol games and practiced martial arts (The Katana with which he committed the murders was a gift from his father)

How was the arrest?

A security guard surprised him while he was accompanied by his friend Oliver 16, also was arrested for an alleged crime of concealment. Both aroused the suspicions of Francis, the guard guarding the Alicante station in the morning shift.
