Executive Summary

There are several important strategic issues that the university faces, these include, Student Demographic Challenge, Lack of Partnerships, Deficient Technology, No Healthcare Programs and Non-Licensure. The recommendations for these issues are to streamline the demographics that the university solicits, to improve enrollments and persistence. Reach out to large corporations and align with them to reach a common goal in training successful employees and students. Argosy needs to upgrade technology, both internally and externally to be more efficient and support students. Add nursing and healthcare programs to be more competitive and increase the student body. Finally, offer online programs in psychology that will lead students to licensure. By developing and implementing these recommendations the university will experience an increase in revenue, student success, persistence, and gain respect and value in the industry.

Argosy University has built a foundation for students to succeed both professionally and personally. Most of the staff, faculty and upper management believe in the mission, vision and values of the university. The shared values of the university are to provide excellent customer service, build relationships and trust with each student and between departments, establish proper expectations across the board, and teamwork and collaboration. The value chain was analyzed to determine what activities occur to provide an excellent online education. The primary activities include curriculum and program development, website development and implementation, and educated faculty. The support activities are academics, finance, and technology support.
