The Nutcracker. Adding magic to the holiday season, Clara and her Prince will take you on a captivating
journey through a Snow Forest and a Water Kingdom before reaching the Land of Sweets.
Timeless characters and visually stimulating choreography, costumes and set design have been enchanting
audiences for two decades and have made PYB's Nutcracker one of the most entertaining performances
offered on the Peninsula.
Ballet companies throughout the world present The Nutcracker each holiday season. Peninsula Youth
Ballet's history of successful, entertaining Nutcracker performances is the result of its dedicated Artistic
Director, Ayako Takahashi. Her artistic vision, technical insight, and passion for telling stories through
dance, result in captivating performances that entertain and engage audiences. Professional dancers are
invited to perform with PYB's own talented dancers, combining professional and preprofessional experience
to enrich its productions.
Since PYB's first Nutcracker production in 1994, Ayako has refined each scene, incorporating changes to
