Ethical absolutes are preset morals. Depending on the situation, these morals can be right or wrong. For example, robbery is morally wrong despite the purpose following it.

Some moral issues are usually established as either right or wrong. Whether an issue is morally wrong is based on the incident. For instance, the recent Oregon incident where a shooter starts firing students on campus and putting other people's lives in danger, there is nothing ethically wrong to kill the shooter causing fear and panic to others. The killer of the shooter ensures the safety of other students.

Nevertheless, ethical absolutism scrutinizes certain actions such as robbery or murder as morally wrong despite the intent behind actions. Consequently, robbery and murder is considered wrong even if it is to ensure the safety and good of others. To guarantee freedom and justice within societies laws are established.

Moreover, most people do not tolerate societal laws and care less about it even though it might put others in danger. As a result it must not reckon as ethically wrong if such people carry acts that are immoral.

Over the years there has been changes in ethical issues. Formerly an action would be considered wrong irrespective of the notion behind it. In spite of this, today's society sees things differently as things have changed. If the idea behind an action is ethically right it does not matter if the intention is morally wrong or not. it is acceptable.

In summary, ethical absolutism impart the way humans live. Certain deeds considered as ethical absolutes should be treated as such since it is subject to change in certain situations.
