1. Innovations come from many different kinds of people, not just from engineers or scientists in laboratories. Why do you think that is?

Yes the innovations can come from any people. Because everyone has the potential to be creative. Even without being experts in science or engineering everyone develops their creativity based on their needs, common sense and a little of intuition.

2. Describe the risk that John Leal took to introduce his innovation to the public. Do you think he did the right thing? Why or why not?

John Leal took the risk of modify the way of people drink water using Chloride without being quite sure of success despite to the good result of the experiments. I think he did the right thing because the only way to know the success of his innovation was testing it.

3. Do you think that most innovators are risk takers? Why or why not? What are advantages of taking risks when coming up with new ideas or inventions? What happens if you’re afraid to fail?

Yes, most innovators are risk takers because nobody can guarantee you that everything will be fine a 100%. There are always a risk probability in all experiment. However, the advantages of taking risks when new ideas are coming up are that you are trying something that could be improve something so you can know the result of you innovation only if you try despite the probability of a risk. In other words the advantage of taking risks is the result of you experiment. So the best way to face the fear to fail is think that if a mistake happen is for improve you innovation learning of you own fail.
