Advice on CVs and cover letters
The purpose of this section is to help you write a CV and cover letter in English. A CV is also known as a resume (pronounced “resumé”), especially in the USA.
During the first month of English classes (First and Second language students), time will be devoted to basic English language formatting of CV’s and letters. Make sure you understand and apply the information covered in class when preparing your first drafts. You should also do some research and look at the Internet sites suggested below for all relevant information on traineeships or job hunting. The information and examples you will find on the Intranet are to be used as self-study tools to prepare your CV and cover letter.
