Human Resource management (HRM), or human resource development, involves development, implementing, and managing recruitment, as well as selection, training, career, and organizational development resourcefulness within an organization (Beer, 2013). The goal of HRM is to maximize the productivity of an organization by enhancing the efficiency of its employees while at the same improving the work life of employees and treating employees as appreciated resources. Today, the Healthcare industry has been undergoing through the process of changes with the use of modern technical methods and tools. Technology is an era that is ever changing. With innovative and advanced technological improvements, it is possible for the health care providers to expedite with best possible care services. The hiring of best skilled professionals ensures the state to the art care services. So, it is the duty of the Human Resource Department that it should hire capable candidates in order to fill the health care related vacancies.
Technology is one of the substantial trends affecting HR. “Technology can be defined as the process by which inputs from an organization’s environment are transformed into outputs” (Harvey, 2011). Technologies consist of things that are used to perform different tasks within the workplace. The machines and equipment that is being used to perform specific duties are a part of technology.
