Subject: Speaker Recommendation for CBE Conference

I’m writing in response to your request for a speaker recommendation for this year’s Center for Business Excellence conference. I recommend Angela Lee, whose perspective on success will appeal to FSB students. In this memo I will summarize Angela Lee’s TED Talk, “The key to success? Girt” and explain why I recommend her as a speaker.

Summary

Angela Lee teaching mathematics in New York seventh graders found that the difference between the best and worst students is not IQ. So she left the classroom, and went to graduate school to become a psychologist. Though the survey of West Point Military Academy, National Spell Bee and new salespeople who are gonging to successful and why? She found that the common characteristic of successful people is grit.

A few years ago, Angela Lee in Chicago public schools began to perseverance research. Thousands of junior high school students conducted a questionnaire about perseverance. The survey found that there is still much easier perseverance of the students graduated, and she found that people's understanding of perseverance are poorly. Current methods for children is the best culture perseverance growth mindset, it refers to the person's ability to learn will vary with the level of effort.

Recommendation

Angela Lee's speech a good fit this theme “What is success”. Some people think that success is based on ultra-high IQ, and some people think that success is due to innate talent given, but there are those who believe that success relies on the superior family environment. But Angela Lee through her experience and research tells us that success depends on the people's perseverance. More important is to develop perseverance and our IQ, talent and home conditions are not related, and it can be changed through our efforts. This intriguing perspective on success is likely to...
