Good morning to Miss Safera and my fellow friends. I am Amirah and I am here to present about the Sources of Energy.

First of all, I am going to explain about the meaning of energy efficiency and energy conservation. Energy efficiency and energy conservation are both using less energy but they still have a difference. Energy efficiency and energy conservation are both using less energy but they still have a difference. Energy efficiency is defined as having the same amount of service but with less energy wasted. For example, replacing an original lamp with a compact fluorescent lamp is energy efficiency because it uses much less energy to produce the same amount of light. Energy conservation means using less energy and it is usually a behavioral change like switching the light off or turning the thermostat lower. However, this is not always the best solution because it may impact comfort. For example, if you turn off the air conditioner, you will feel much hotter during a hot day. Energy efficiency is a better solution than energy conservation because it does not impact comfort. For example, if you use the energy efficient windows instead of single pane windows, you don’t have to turn on the air conditioner during a hot day because the energy efficient windows will keep the heat out of the house so you will feel comfortable even without the air conditioner.

So, how do we use energy efficiently? There are many ways you can do so. For example, you can use energy efficiently by lowering the thermostat setting before leaving the house. This will not impact your comfort because you don’t have to use the thermostat while leaving the house. Next, you should turn off the air conditioner when the weather is cold because you still can stay cool at that weather even without the air conditioner.
