Last class we played an interesting game called the International Trading Game. Our class divide by 5 groups and every group represented a country. Every country have different resources. Every group should use paper to create different shapes and sell to the market. The products must suit with the market product’s shape. After we played this game, I think we have some ways that we should improve this game. First, we should pay attention to listening to our surroundings. Sometimes, I don’t know if market price changed because I am not listening the surrounding. I asked Kuni a question and she said that she already told us. When the game begin, we communicated with other countries and trade with them. Every country has different resources: Penny‘s country has a lot of different tools, like Compasses, Scissors, 900 dollars but one paper. But then again, Lin’s country has a lot of paper. For my country, I had 4 papers, 2 pencils, and 200 dollars. We use 200 dollars to buy a scissor from Kuni. Then we trade scissors to other country to get a ruler and sell 2 mini scissors for 100 dollars to the other countries. Our teammates are Yanchi and Wendy. As a team, we have a common goal in trying to earn more money for our country. We use teamwork to work hard for our country. We separate the work into three different area. Wendy is responsible for collecting resources, Yanchi is responsible for making products and I am responsible in selling the product, as well as, negotiating with the market. I think we are the cross-function team because we have different functions and we work together. Moreover, each of us are multitasking as a whole. Every of us can do different work. For me, I make product some of the time and we trade roles together. In the end, we sold a lot to the market and we received 3 red hearts from Kuni. We ended up selling them and earned 5350 dollars from market. If I were to play that game again, I will find a strategy to communicate with other countries by...
