A. CONCRETE EXPERIENCE
a. Objectively describe the experience (who, what, when, where).
November 6th Mr. Wilkof came to speak to our class. Mr. Wilkof stayed for around thirty minutes and explained his family business. He portrayed to us the stigma that comes with a family business, and how he has trumped the omen of a family business. Describing how not only did his business succeed with immediate family, but family and friends within the business.
b. Subjectively describe your feelings, perceptions and thoughts that occurred during the experience.
I thought Mr. Wilkof had a lot to offer us. Not only did he have a pretty well round business, but also had risen above the majority of family businesses fate. He had worked his way up to where he was, beginning as a janitor up to where he is today. Mr. Wilkof was respectable, and he represented what Stark Industries wants to display very well. I liked his view on how he wants to introduce his kids to the business; giving them an option either if they do or do not want to be a part of it. Mr. Wilkof portrayed exactly what I would picture for a successful family business owner.
B. REFLECTIVE OBSERVATION
c. Looking back at the experience, what were the perspectives of the key actors (including you)?
Everyone who listened to Mr. Wilkof all seemed to have the same view. After Mr. Wilkof was done speaking people seemed curious. It took a few sparks...
