Introduction
This is an assignment which is part of ITM 100, the purpose of this assignment is to asses a possible investment in a software for a company so that can access more information about their clients. This analysis includes a brief summary of the company, how did the new software different from old software, information about what to do in the future.
Case Summary
Mscc was founded back in early 1900s. Economic development in the mid- south was highly depended on transportation. Ay communities in the mid-south are could not gain access to a reasonable transportation services, thus retarding business economic development. But there was no one to report this issue to the government thus Mscc was founded by some powerful business people.
Computer operations at Mscc
Mscc had information system that was not very good. Their computer system was so outdated and incapable of performing well. Some data in their current workstation seems to have been corrupted. Their system hadn’t been backed up in months. There was little or no maintenance was done to support this computer system. Leon Lassiter anted to change that and bring in a new system which could further help the company. Lassiter hired a full time computer programmer named Simon Kovecki, so he can help Lassiter look for a new system software.
Jeff Hedges was in charge of computer operations, Lassiter pushed hedges and company to invest a new system. After looking for a long time Lassiter himself found a software called Uni-Trak.
