Good Morning, Principal, teachers and fellow schoolmates,

On behalf of the chairperson of the student union, today I would like to share something about the ‘Give your seat to anyone in need’ culture. Recently, Our principal has seen some of our students occupied the priority seats and pretending that they did not see the people in need. To be honest, this behavior is quite disappointing and may cause some negative impacts to you and the people in need.

Before talking about the impacts, you should know why we have to give the seat to the people in need. In general, people in need include the elderly, people with disabilities and the pregnant. They have the common characteristic that cannot keep standing in a long journey. Otherwise, they may feel uncomfortable or even get injured easily in the journey. The priority seats are used for this situation. In order to provide more opportunities to make sure the people in need could seat in the bus or train, priority seats play this function well. If we don’t give the seat to them, It may cause the following situation

First, to the people in need , they may lose the opportunity to seat in the long journey. It is cruel to them as we are much stronger than them. We are more able to stand in a longer time comparing to them. We won’t get a loss if we can’t seat as we are young. Why can’t we be good to the others? A little action could make people comfortable and joyful. As helping the others could bring happiness to both payers and receivers, give the seat to people in need is a showcase of what considerate civilians do and it can be done for all of us! Let’s forget and dismiss the improper behavior in the past and learn to be considerate when you are on the public transport.
