Abstract

In today’s time, the use of technology is on the rise. It has become second nature to us, as we use it in every aspect of our lives. The internet has become a big part of how we do business, how we research things for school and entertainment; how we connect with family and friends, and we can even do our shopping online. Digital technology has become our first and immediate source to connect in many ways. With just the touch of our fingers we are connected to so many resources.

Digital Technology Has Proven to be an Asset in Our Lives

Digital Technology is a positive way to connect with others in our professional, personal, and academic part of our lives. Think about it. Everyone today has a laptop, smart phone, or some kind of device that uses technology. There are many benefits to using today’s technology, opposed to the traditional methods.

In the Workplace

First, in the workplace, technology can be a major advantage. Productivity can be higher because you can communicate quicker and it’s more convenient. You can be notified of work related issues like last minute meetings or changes. Clients can contact you with issues, questions, and concerns without having to deal with the middle man. This provides a better level of customer service and saves us time to accomplish other things.

Speed of connections, Mobility, and Global interfacing are all positive uses of technology in the workplace. Speed of connections help organize the work environment. Everything from payroll to inventory is managed more efficiently with well-designed software in place. With mobility, instead of having to stay in the office, businesspeople can work on the go. Work projects and business profits all connect to globalization enabled by technology. Everyone can connect with those in foreign countries with the click of a mouse.
