Audience Analysis Paper

It’s not always easy carrying out public speeches and even more so when you’re trying to effectively convey your topic and capture the audience's attention at the same time. The question is: “How can you deliver both effectively?” This is when audience analysis come into play to ensure in achieving proper communication with your audience. There are different approaches when it comes to analyzing the audience however, the presenter needs to be properly aware that there are different types of cultures and ethnicity among the audiences and also be wary that there are applicable channels of communication at the same time which can be used in order to convey the speech either just or more effectively than what was intended. In this assignment, an example will be used to outline and serve as an example of how the framework of audience analysis can be used when presenting a speech.

As an example for this case, the speaker will be presenting about mangas and how it embodies the speaker as a whole. In this particular example, the speaker will be presenting in a favorable college classroom setting number of about 25 young stationary audience who will be sitting face forward towards you when speaking. Due to the fewer number of audience who will be present, it creates a perfect opportunity to interact with the people more; allowing more questions-and-answers and also a pathway that can help shape what you need to do or say in order to captivate your audience’s attention (Fraleigh & Tuman 123). Despite the positive feedbacks of the effect of questions-and-answers, “Let the audience drive your message” (Fraleigh & Tuman 119), there can also be a negative feedback of spending too much time on answering questions that could have been answered during your presentation.
