Divorce

Divorce can be an upsetting experience to both of the parties engaged. When there are children involved the divorce becomes a much more difficult situation to handle. Although most people have different perspectives, I have experienced divorce personally and I resulted in the separation of parents, misunderstood children, and extreme health issues. In my eyes, divorce is definitely one of the biggest natural disasters in one’s everyday life, which have changed my family life tremendously.

During the difficulties of the divorce one of the most affected were my children. The different ages of the children determines the level of attitude and the capability of understanding such a life changing decision. It became difficult for my children to adapt to the change of not having both parents living under the same roof. It also complicated the lives of my children when they were forced o alternate between homes. At a young age it becomes more intensifying grasping the concept of the change of lifestyle.

For my children divorce was very stressful, depressing, and caused behavior problems. Custody battles caused a lot of confusion and anger because my children do not like choosing sides. Sometimes kids get deprived of the right to decide which parent they would like to stay with which causes frustration and sadness. Constant changes and unexpected moves, different schools, homes, and neighborhoods also had a psychological and emotional effect on them. My children were not mentally stable for all of the different changes and it became difficult to adapt to them. My children exhibited early signs of depression from not being able to let go different emotions. When those emotions began to build up and there was no way for my children to let them out it created behavioral issues. Acting out in school was one of the most recognized leading effects of divorce in my children lives. Personal issues at home...
