Abortion and the unwanted abused children

For years, people from different walks of life, have had different opinions about abortions. Many people believe that abortions are immoral. I want to inform my audience that there are children in this world that have no love being adopted and are not protected by the child protective system. My goal in this paper is to educate, discuss and show just how important it is to have an unwanted child that will have a chance of being abused and or killed by the hands of their own parents, the boyfriend or girlfriend of the parent and the adopted parents. With a high number of unwanted children being born that are starved, abused, left at the hospital and killed, an abortion should be considered. Therefore the mother must be the one to make the final decision on whether to have an abortion.

a·bor·tion [ ə báwrsh'n ]: operation to end pregnancy: an operation or other intervention to end a pregnancy by removing an embryo or fetus from the womb. Abortion is the premature termination of a pregnancy prior to birth.

According to Daniel Callahan, one recognizes that life is present from conception but allows for the possibility that there may be a later different point at which such a life can be considered to be human. If an embryo or fetus is removed from the womb and can’t breathe or live on its own then I don’t think it should be consider a human being.

It has been said that women should not have an abortion, instead they should allow their child to be adopted and if there is no one to adopt that child to give it to the state. In the early stages the mother agrees to give the child up for adoption and some goes as far as choosing the parents to adopt their child, but when the time comes to give that child away, the mother changes her mind.
