easy Internet Cafe (eIc) was founded in 1999 with successful opening its large owned stores in 23 major cities around the world , but, company started to loss business by end of 2002. In 2003, eIc decided to change its operations strategy from its huge owned stores to franchise stores with small cafe size. The managing director , Roger, hired freshman, Raj, who has IT and management experience to proceed with project to franchise stores. Raj did the environmental and root cause analysis by studying the strength, weakness, opportunities and threats. Then, Raj come up with four options of logistics to open 4 stores each week within two to three years period. After supplier evaluations, Raj founded that Ingram is the best supplier because they provide complete integrated solutions including procurement, warehousing, transportation, configuration, billing & payment collection facilities and returns management at low price.
