The Mac Service Certification Exam (9L0-012) is a computer-based knowledge test offered online via Pearson VUE. The test is open resource and test takers are encouraged to use Apple references to help answer the exam items.

Successful completion of the Mac Service Certification Exam fulfills the hardware requirement for Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT) 2015 certification.

Exam Summary

* Number of sections: 18

* Number of objectives: 38

* Number of total items: 70

* Passing score: 80% overall (at least 56 out of 70 items to pass) 

* Exam time limit: 2 hours

IMPORTANT NOTE

This exam has two separately-scored sections that must be individually passed in order to pass the entire exam. This is in addition to the overall passing score listed above:

* Section ESD Precautions is must-pass (at least 4 out of 5 to pass) 

* Section Technician Safety is must-pass (at least 4 out of 5 to pass)

If you do not pass both of these must-pass sections, you will not pass the exam, even if your score report appears to contain a passing overall score.
