I. Introduction

Riordan Manufacturing is an international plastic manufacturer which employs 550 personnel and annual revenue of $46 million; it is a subsidiary to Riordan Industries which is a 1000 fortune company with revenues of $1 billion. Riordan was founded in 1991 and it has grown considerable rapidly since its inception, primary focus is the manufacture and sale of plastic made objects i.e. fan parts, plastic bottles. In a recent memo the organization announce that operations in Hangzhou, China will be move to Shanghai, China within the next five years. To help ease the transition the legal department has created a corporate compliance plan which will cover the areas of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), enterprise liability, product liability, international law, tangible and intellectual property, legal form of business and governance of the company.

II. Alternative Dispute Resolution

In the case of that a dispute should arise which cannot be resolved between the arguing parties an alternative dispute resolution through meditation will take effect. In the case that mediation fails to resolve the dispute arbitration will be the following steps. Prior to engaging into an ADR disputing parties will try to find a solution to their differences and agree to a mutually solution, if no solution has arisen then an official mediation will take effect.

Dispute has to be caused by an employee unwillingness to follow company’s procedures and/or policy that are govern by federal, state, local law and internal guidelines which might place the organization in risk of lawsuits.
