The rise in college tuition, will this help or hinder the education of college students? Colleges are raising the price of tuition, how do they expect the middle and lower class to be able to meet these higher prices I feel if college tuition is raised, less people will be able to go to college.

With the price of everything going up colleges have to raise the price of tuition just to be able to the teachers. It is getting harder everyday to make ends meet. The price of oil has made the price of everything else goes up; colleges have to meet the need for teachers by raising the tuition. Colleges need to be competitive with each other, to do this they will need to buy better equipment for their sports teams. With the scare of enemies all around and the growing violence on campus, colleges are forced to hire more security.

There are many other employees at a college other than instructors and security. There are the behind the scenes employees that range from gardeners to cafeteria workers. They are also seeing the rise in prices. There fore their salary must go up also. All of these things seen and unseen make the cost of going to college more expensive each year.

Because the price of tuition, less students are able to go. Parents are finding that they have to go further into debt to just be able to send their child to school. Many college students have had to take a full time job to help pay for tuition. More students are looking for financial aid from the government. These students are also applying for more grants and scholarships. Some students have turned to doing illegal thing just to pay for college. It is sometimes hard for the college student to find a job because; more senior citizens are working at fast food places. If this trend continues and the rise of college tuition keeps going up, fewer students will be able to go to college.
