PRO: A business owner should be able to hire or fire anyone without interference from the government.

Survival of the fittest. This has been a long standing phrase our lives, our human progress and even our government has been built upon. From the beginning with our freedom fighters of the early Continental Armies to our modern day successful business enterprises, it has been forever viewed as the “right man for the right job.” Regardless of sex, race, religious views, etc., the government shouldn’t be allowed to tell us or interfere with who we must hire and who we can or can’t fire in our own businesses.

The government has the ability to tell us whom we can and can’t hire / fire. This is wrong. Diversity is a very strong, and often times overused, word dictating what businesses should look like. Who cares about what color your skin is, what tattoos you have, or what reproductive organ you possess? If a shop owner doesn’t like a particular person because of any discriminatory factor, that shop owner should have the right to make a hire / fire decision based on the fact that it’s their business and without government...
