How to make an Icebox cake

Making an Icebox cake is fun and easy. It is not time consuming and only requires a few ingredients. The ingredients needed are as follows: milk, graham crackers, Cool Whip, vanilla pudding, chocolate pudding, and bananas. Icebox cakes are delicious treats for dessert. Kids will enjoy making and eating this dessert.

The first step is to prepare both of the puddings. This step requires: milk, vanilla pudding, and chocolate pudding. One should do this first because the pudding needs to settle after mixing. Once the mixing is done, it should be set aside. However, it should not be stored in the refrigerator because it will become much harder to spread.

The next step is cutting the bananas. All of the bananas should be cut into small round circles. This is an easy step and could be done by kids using a plastic knife or butter knife. The cut bananas should also be set aside, once completed. Bananas give the Icebox cake another flavor aside from the flavor of the puddings. It also gives another form of texture to the dessert. However, one can opt to use any other type of fruit to obtain a different texture and flavor.

Once steps one and two are complete, one could start setting up the tray for the Icebox cake. This step starts with the graham crackers. Just like a lasagna, an Icebox cake has layers. The graham crackers serve the purpose of holding the layers together. To start, the graham crackers should be placed on the bottom of the tray.

Afterwards, one could start with either one of the puddings. One has to spread the pudding evening throughout the graham crackers. Enough pudding should be put on each layer of graham cracker. Therefore,the graham crackers could absorb the moisture from the pudding. Each new layer should be a different kind of pudding.
