Michael Jordan can easily go down as the greatest player in the history of the NBA Jordan has achieved so many accomplishments in a long historic career. He has won six NBA championships and won the most valuable player award five of those times, all with the Chicago Bulls. Michael Jordan was born February 17, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York. Jordan played for the North Carolina Tar heels for three years and after his junior year of college he entered the NBA draft in. He was drafted by the Chicago Bulls and the rest was history. In Jordan’s rookie season he scored an average of 28.2 points per game leading the Chicago bulls to the playoffs. Because of his dominance he was awarded the NBA rookie of the year and was selected to his first all-star game. Jordan became the first player since Wilt Chamberlin to score more than 3,000 points in a single season. As his career went on, he took home some impressive hardware claiming the MVP trophy five times, 1987, 1991, 1992, 1996, and 1998. The rewards kept racking up and he was in his first NBA finals game. They won against the Los Angeles Lakers. Jordan would go on to win five more titles.
Michael Jordan I have to say is the greatest basketball player of all time because his accomplishments in the NBA clearly show it and there is nothing he didn’t accomplish. He took the league by storm and did everything he could to become a great player on and off the court. He was a laid back guy who never was in trouble outside the game because he always kept a level head. Through his entire NBA season he has an average of 30.1 points per game in 15 years. In the last season he played in at Chicago, still at an all-time high Jordan helped his Bulls team to the best record in the NBA that still stands to this day at 72-10.
