Fifty Shades of Grey or Fifty Shades of Abuse?

“How much can it hurt?” Anastasia asks Mr. Gray. Christian Grey pleads with Anastasia saying please don’t do this but she insists. After being forcefully whipped 6 times with a belt Ana is left in tears; the confused Christian Gray rushes to comfort her. She refuses. Why? If he only did what was asked of him, why is Anastasia so angry with him? She continues “This is what you really like? Me, like this? Well, you’re one fucked-up son of a bitch,” Ana says. “You need to sort your shit out, Grey!” Christian again tries to resolve the fight only to be told that Anastasia has fallen in love with him. When Christian refuses to accept Ana’s feeling she ends the relationship.

It should come as no surprise critics have watched this scene in shock and thought it was nothing more than an abusive relationship waiting to escalate into something much worse. However, they fail to consider Christian Grey contested to whipping Anastasia multiple time before finally giving in. In addition Christian tried several time to comfort Ana, without any luck. As in any fictional story they are thing that not everyone agrees with and the BDSM and intensity of Christians and Anastasia relationship in Fifty Shades of Grey seems to be a point of disagreement among fans and critics of this movie.
