Hypothesis 1: Pay satisfaction will be positively correlated with job satisfaction. I believe if someone feels they are being fairly compensated for their work, they are more likely to be satisfied with their job. If someone does not feel they are being compensated fairly, they are less likely to be satisfied with their job.

Hypothesis 2: Job satisfaction is negatively correlated with turnover intent. I believe if someone is satisfied with their job the likelihood of them quitting is very minimal. If someone is dissatisfied with their job, they will be more inclined to quit.

Hypothesis 3: Turnover intent is negatively correlated with pay satisfaction. I believe if someone is satisfied with their level of compensation, they will be less inclined to quit. If someone is dissatisfied with their level of compensation, they will be more inclined to quit.

According to the descriptive statistics, it would appear the majority of the people surveyed are fairly satisfied in their current job. The average ranking for job satisfaction is over four with a standard deviation of less than one. With such little deviation, one could reason the majority of people are fairly content in their job, as the deviation reflects scores from a little more than three to just under five. Minimums of one and maximums of five are both reached in this category, indicating people are completely satisfied in their job and not at all satisfied in their job. The results for pay satisfaction are not as impressive. It would appear a handful of people are not currently satisfied with their level of compensation. The average ranking for pay satisfaction is just over three with a standard deviation of just over one. With such a deviation, one could reason there are people who are quite a bit more satisfied with their level of compensation than others, as the deviation reflects scores from four to two.
