IN THE DISTRICT COURT FOR CHESAPEAKE COUNTY, MD

APPLICATION AND AFFIDAVIT FOR SEARCH AND SEIZURE WARRANT

I, Officer Steve Jones, of the Metropolis Police Department, the Affiant, being duly sworn, request the issuance of a Search and Seizure Warrant and states as follows:

1. APPLICATION AND VIOLATIONS OF LAW:

The Affiant hereby makes application to Judge Barry Moredock, Judge of the District Court for Chesapeake County, MD for a Search and Seizure Warrant on the grounds that there is probable cause, the basis of which is set forth in the following affidavit which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, to believe that there is property subject to seizure under the laws of this State and more particularly in violation of the Criminal Law Article, specifically, the crimes of possession, and cultivation of large quantities of marijuana.

2. DESCRIPTION OF THE PLACE, PERSON, OR MOTOR VEHICLE TO BE SEARCHED:

This Application and Affidavit are made to obtain authority to search the premises described below:

The residence to be searched is 120 Verlinden Drive, Chesapeake County, MD, being a red brick two-story building, with a gray shingle roof, two chimneys, one on each side of structure, front wooden porch painted gray, gray front door.

The person to be searched is James Fox, male, Caucasian, approximately 28 years of age, 6'3" tall, 220 lbs. brown hair, crew cut, no facial hair, muscular build, eyes blue.

3. AFFIANT’S TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

I, Officer Steve Jones, am now and have been for the past 20 years an officer for the Metropolis Police Department. For the past 15 years I have been assigned to the Drug Enforcement Division as an investigator. I have completed the 26 week Police Academy. I hold 40 Hours of instruction related to identification, detection, and manufacturing of controlled dangerous substances.
