KFC Chinese Ads

1. First ad. The ad basically describes new toys for the kid’s meal. The target audience is young children who would like the toys. It is specific towards the Chinese audience because it seems to be characters from a Chinese show or something. I have never seen the characters before in the US. The ad is similar to the US because we also make commercials to attract children. They target children who then must come with their parents. We advertise cheap toys as “prizes” as well.

2. 15 second mark. This ad describes the delivery service they have available. They demonstrate the speed and ease with which you can order food online. It is targeting young professionals. It is specific towards Chinese audience because we do not have that in the US. It would be inefficient to have KFC deliver in the US. The ad is similar to the US because it shows young successful people who are busy with work. It demonstrates quickness and ease which is something I’m sure most companies around the world would like to demonstrate to their customers.

3. 1 min 45 sec. This ad I think is talking about getting a meal that tastes home cooked. I think she is on the phone with her mom and the food is reminding her of her mom’s cooking. It is targeted towards family. It will suggest family meals together. It is specific toward Chinese simply because it appears to be more of a traditional Chinese dish. It is similar to US because family is global. We also advertise to make people think of their family. It definitely pulls at emotions inside of us to think of family.

4. 2 min 15 sec mark. This ad promotes a sampler type meal. It appears that it is cheap as well. It is targeted toward anyone I would assume. If I had to say something I would say it’s targeted toward indecisive people. It is specific toward Chinese only in the food choices. I don’t really see anything else that separates it from other cultures. It is similar to the US because we also have many restaurants...
