THE PROBLEM AND ITS SETTING

INTRODUCTION

Living in the 21st century which we can also refer to as the rise of the technological Era, where most of the things that we do are done using automated process. But there are some who do not want to change what they are traditionally doing, they don’t realize yet how comfortable and favorable to use the modern technology.

As for the business industries, especially restaurants, many are still using manual process in terms of ordering, monitoring and showing their product not only here in the Philippines but also around the globe. Therefore, a lot of shortcomings tend to happen in the business. Also human errors are inevitable since they work for long hours; exhaustion and stress is the main complication

Considering the employees, are using pen and papers taking orders from the customer, moving back and forth to the cashier to render the orders, and sometimes an extra order and request will come up. Going to kitchen to say the orders and if it’s unavailable going back to the customer to inform them and go back to ordering phase. Hassle is in there.

But today, we will innovate to these things. Through the Automated Restaurant Solution, ordering will be efficient and convenient by having an electronic menu which can be seen in the browser of mobile devices (phones/tablets). Transaction will be faster. Monitoring the stock is simple. All employees and products are registered and can be maintained. Security is vital and so as information and file management, database is use and Reports are created to show development in everyday work.

Background of the study
