Homecoming? Where at?!?

My homecoming was very boring and dry. I missed all the events but most of them were cancelled, so it took the joy out the week. When the professor and students talked about homecoming week, they made it seem like it was going to be the best week in the world. This is why I was so confused when homecoming week stated because it was nothing how they described it. Homecoming wasn’t how I expected. I wish my experience was better, I did enjoy seeing the alumni’s reunite, and it wasn’t as much tailgaters and venders as I thought it would be.

I thought homecoming was going to be the best time of the semester. Sadly it was the worst. I missed most of the events: The Talent Show, Gospel Concert, the Hip Hop Concert, Comedy Show, Faculty, Staff, and Alumni Variety Show and the King and Queen Ball. I did have the pleasure of going to the pep rally. I regret going to the Student Organization Bazar. It was so dull and boring. So my homecoming week wasn’t that exciting. It probably would have been better if I went to at least some of the events. Only problem with that was most of the events cost money. Something I’m trying to save and don’t have a lot to spend. I was looking forward to seeing people young and old everywhere. But all I saw was regular students and a few alumni’s. I expected this huge event with lots of people but all I saw was a regular event with a few hundred people. Maybe if it didn’t rain on homecoming day it probably would have been better and more people would have come. I think if classes were cancelled for the week and had transportation for the events that was off campus I would have enjoyed it more.

When I saw the alumni’s roll in Friday I thought everybody had attended VSU. I was very shocked to see my old teacher Saturday. While I was walking around trying to make my way to the game to get a good seat I...
