Introduction

The purpose of this writing is to explain the importance of paraphrasing and Annotating. This writing will give you and understanding of what is to paraphrase and also explain what Annotating is and why it is important that we learn these skills. Paraphrasing and annotating are very important concepts to learn. Thru out the graduate program these skills will be utilized. The more you practice using these skills the better you will become at writing. When doing scholarly work it is often important to use others people work to add validity to our work. Paraphrasing is a way of using others people information but putting it in your own words and giving the individual that wrote the text credit. In writing it is very important when using someone work that you give credit. If you use someone work without giving them credit it is considered plagiarism. Paraphrasing also demonstrates to an instructor or your reading audience that you had and understanding of what was written.

Results and Interpretations

Paraphrasing and Annotated bibliographies are very important when writing. Paraphrasing is not only used when writing papers in school, it is also used in your place of employment It is important to learn how to Paraphrase, because paraphrasing shows the instructor or your reading audience that you have an understanding of what was written and you demonstrate this thru the use of paraphrasing. After you have paraphrased the reading you should give the original writer credit. You give the original writer credit thru the use of in text citation and references at the end of your writing.
